Description of buildings

This property is the largest portion of a tiny village built around an eleventh-century watchtower, which has been transformed over the centuries into a palace, then a small border barrack, a hunting pavilion, a horse exchange station and a dwelling for travellers headed to Perugia or for those who were crossing Italy from one sea to the other. 

Even if it’s a portion of the entire property, it is a haven of privacy, thanks to the private land that surrounds it. 

Today, the facility stretches over 945 sq.m. (net saleable area) and is intended for accommodation purposes. It counts 5 apartments, large communal areas, and a fully equipped kitchen where you can organize small events for 30-40 persons in the winter and 80-100 persons in the summer.

State and finishing

This property was acquired by the current owners at the end of the 19th century and was an excellent agricultural company specialized in the cultivation of mulberry for silkworms. Once the fortune of autochthonous silk was over, both the palace and the tower were turned into a summer country house. Now, it’s a house and an accommodation business. 

The accurate and conservative renovation has maintained the old charm of the historical residence, thanks to the traditional external finishes, artisan terracotta floors, ceilings with wooden beams, large and charming fireplaces, and internal and external solid wood fixtures.

External areas

The surrounding land of about 2 hectares (20,840 m2) includes a large garden and an orchard.

The 15x8 m swimming pool (2.40 m deep) is surrounded by tables, chairs and sunbeds, arranged to ensure everyone’s privacy.
